English Family program in Sliema, Malta, for parents and children aged 5-12 and 13-17 years

The English program for families at Malta is the perfect combination of beach holiday and language learning. Parents and children attend English courses and have plenty of free time to enjoy together at the beach or explore the sights and natural beauty of the Maltese islands. The program is organized by our partner school inlingua Malta, which is located in Sliema, a lively town with a lots of restaurants, cafés and entertainment opportunities.

English courses 

Adult course: the parents attend English course for adults. The contents of the course are aimed at developing the ability to communicate effectively in English and students learn conversational skills, grammar structures and vocabulary. There are 20 lessons per week which take place in groups of max. 10 students.

Teen course (13 – 17 years): in summer months, young students are taught in a separate course together. In low season, they have a separate course or are integrated in the adult courses. There are 20 llessons per week which take place in groups of max. 10 students. 

Junior course (5 – 12 years): a special course for young students which builds up basic knowledge of English by focusing on simple verbs, grammar and vocabulary. Games and language-related activities make this course lively and fun!

• Schedule: Monday – 10:00 – 13:30, Tuesday – Friday 09:00 – 12:30

Accommodation

Parents and children can stay with local homestays (single or shared room) or in apartments with self-catering facilities.

Homestays are generally recommended only for a single parent travelling with a child or children. Families with two parents and children are recommended to book an apartment. The school offers various apartments (studios to two-bedroom apartments) within walking distance to the school.

Activities 

Various activities can be booked upon arrival for a surcharge.

Examples: bus tour through Malta, National Aquarium Visit, Malta 5D Show, Harbour Cruise, Half Day Mdina Tour, Bowling, Comino Cruise, Splash & Fun Waterpark.

3rd person joining activities pays 50% of activity bundle price.

Low season 

• Adult Course: 180 EUR per week + 45 EUR registration fee + 27 EUR learning materials
• Teen Course 13-17: 180 EUR per week + 45 EUR registration fee + 27 EUR learning materials
• Junior Course 5-12: 195 EUR per week + 45 EUR registration fee + 37 EUR learning Materials

Accommodation Prices

Low season*

• Homestay accommodation: shared room with half board – 175 EUR per week and person, single room with half board – 245 EUR per week
• Apartment accommodation: price depends on the exact dates, apartment type and number of persons – please, contact us for a price quote.

High season (06. June – 06. September 2020)*

• Homestay accommodation: shared room with half board – 245 EUR per week and person, single room with half board – 315 EUR per week
• Apartment accommodation: price depends on the exact dates, apartment type and number of persons – please, contact us for a price quote.

 *Eco Contribution Tax must be paid by each student over 18 years old with accommodation. 1 week accommodation = 3 EUR, 2 or more weeks accommodation = 5 EUR.

Supplements:

• Airport transfer: two-way airport transfer can be arranged, the price depends on the number of persons: 2 people – 22,50 EUR per person,  3 persons – 20 EUR per person, 4 persons -17 EUR per person
