English Junior Program in Edinburgh for young students aged 7 – 17 years (Edinburgh School of English)

Edinburgh offers everything you might expect from a capital and moreover, the city is relaxed, safe and easy to reach. With its numerous museums, galleries and parks, Edinburgh offers ample opportunities for leisure activities.
The summer program for young students in Edinburgh takes place at the Mary Erskine School which is located about 10-20 minutes by bus from the city centre. The school boasts spacious, modern classrooms, a large sports hall and tennis courts.

Course
The courses are especially focused on enhancing the confidence of students communicating in English and their fluency when using the language. It also develops the real-world skills necessary for life in an increasingly globalized world.
It is also possible to book a daily program for juniors 7-12 years old, which doesn’t include accommodation. Please check the prices below.

Accommodation
Students can choose from two accommodation options: homestay or residence
Homestay - only from 13 years old: accommodation with local hosts is a great opportunity to experience the everyday life in Scotland. Students stay with carefully selected homestays which experienced in hosting young students and are located up to 40 minutes from the school. On the first day, a member of the family will take students to the school and show them the way. There are usually two students per family who share a twin room. Students receive a public transport pass to be able to move around the city.
Bed linen and towels: bed linen is provided, students need to bring their own towels.
Residence - all ages: the residence is located at Pollock Halls in a greet part of the city, at the “Arthur´s Seat”. Students stay in single rooms, but the residence also has common areas where students can relax and meet their friends. Students staying in the residence will be transferred to the school and back each day by a private bus.
A deposit will be required in cash upon arrival.
Bed linen and towels: bed linen is provided, students need to bring their own towels.
Activities
Each afternoon, students can choose from various activities. There is also a full-day excursion at the weekend.
Examples of activities and excursions: excursion to the Edinburgh Castle and the National Gallery of Scottland, visits of other points of interested in and around Edinburgh, sport (swimming, football, tennis), Scottish music and dance ... (the exact activities depend on the program date)

- Homestay: 1135 GBP per week
- Residence: 1510 per week
- Day program (no accommodation): 850 GBP per week

- 20 English lessons per week from Monday to Friday
