Bordeaux is a beautiful city rich in tradition with a history of almost 2300 years, which makes it the perfect place to learn French in France. The city with a population of nearly 240,000 inhabitants, which once has been described as a mixture of Versailles and Antwerp, fascinates with its historic townscape still preserved to our days. Therefore it is not surprising that the city of Bordeaux was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and served as a film set many times. Thanks to the mild temperatures all year round you will surely enjoy a language course in Bordeaux.
The banks of the Garonne, which limits the old town, with its many ancient buildings along the river offer a beautiful sight. Also famous is the Pont de Pierre, the oldest stone bridge in Bordeaux, which was planned during Napoleonic times. But the city has so much more to offer. During your language course in Bordeaux you can, for example, stroll through the pedestrian zone in the Rue Sainte -Catherine, treat yourself to a short break in one of the many charming cafes or visit the National Museum Musée d' Aquitaine. Of course we must not forget to mention the world famous Bordeaux wine that you can enjoy best along with one of the most typical dishes of the region.
