Language courses in Honolulu

Honolulu is not only an exotic city in an exotic location - if you look closer, you will see a vibrant metropolitan city, which fully deserves being the capital of the Hawaiian Islands. With great weather all year round and a wide range of outdoor activities, it is a great place to learn English!

In Honolulu you can visit the Diemond Head crater, the historic and world famous Pearl Harbour, the stunning Hanauma Hanauma Bay marine preserve or the spectacular beaches of famous Waikiki. Of course you should not miss out on watching the surfers from all over the world gathering at some of the best surf spots in the world like Waimea or the "Pipeline” or you can even try surfing yourself.

The “Aloha Spirit” of Hawaii has allowed a melting pot of cultures from all over the world making Hawaii the home to many different nationalities and giving you also the feeling of being welcome in this paradise. Learn English in Hawaii and explore its amazing natural beauty above water as well as under water. The other islands like Maui, Kauai, Lanai and Molokai are just a short plane ride away.

With a history, dating back more than 1500 years, Hawaii is also rich in local culture. The Polynesians are believed to have been the first to set foot on Hawaii’s Big Island. In 1778, James Cook landed at Waimea Bay, naming the archipelago “Sandwich Islands”. Western influence started to grow and in 1883 American Colonists controlled most of the economy and overthrew the Kingdom in a peaceful way. In 1889 Hawaii became a territory of the United States. It is only in 1959 that it became Hawaii or the 50th State of the United States.
